Rugged yet refined, the 8809’s Tidal Muleskinner roughout leather, storm bead welt, and secondary leather laces offer excellent versatility.
Every pair of Red Wing Heritage footwear is crafted with S.B. Foot Tanning Company leather. Our product team works closely with S.B. Foot employees to create and test different colorways and textures. Care
Nubuck / Roughout Leather Care
1. Clean
Use the Eraser Bar from the Roughout/Nubuck Cleaner Kit on soiled area of footwear. If stain persists, wet Eraser Bar and repeat. Allow leather to dry and use the Bristle Brush to restore the leather's nap.
2. Condition
Lightly apply Mink Oil to Muleskinner Leather. Mink Oil will darken leather and should only be used sparingly. Allow the leather to dry. All other Roughout and Nubuck leathers do not require conditioning.
3. Protect
Lightly mist footwear with Leather Protector six to eight inches away from the leather in a sweeping motion. Leather Protector provides a shield against dirt and moisture. It will not darken footwear.
